Date: November 2024

Edge Zero will moderate a panel of utility participants, each discussing perspectives on the criticality of monitoring distribution network health to enhance grid reliability and program design as the electric grid decentralizes. Despite the distribution network’s pivotal role in delivering reliable power, current voltage and power quality monitoring tools are often based on estimations, do not provide real-time data, or may be cost-prohibitive. The panel will address the urgency of incorporating affordable, real-time low voltage network monitoring solutions to enable effective load management programs, Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems (DERMS) and other systems integrations and accommodate the growing presence of Electric Vehicles (EVs) and other connected devices on the grid.
